Begu beat (9/8) Wozniacki for her 1st top 10 win. Wozniacki, still struggling with her knee injury, hit 22 unforced errors to just 4 winners as she failed to hit through Begu, who executed a confident and aggressive game plan. This is Wozniacki's second straight 1st round Grand Slam exit, having made at least the semi finals here for the last three years
